Items accepted

KIDSmart accepts the following items for sale in excellent condition*:

  • FALL/WINTER SALE: Coats, jackets, long sleeve shirts, heavy sweaters, snow boots, winter hats, mittens, scarves, ski bibs, fall & winter sports equipment, short sleeve shirts (all seasons), light jackets & sweaters (all seasons)
  • SPRING/SUMMER SALE: swimsuits, shorts, outside water toys, sun hats, sandals, spring & summer sports equipment, short sleeve shirts (all seasons), light jackets & sweaters (all seasons)
  • Baby and Kids’ Clothing and Shoes from preemie and newborn up to juniors’ and teenager sizes including missionary wear
  • Baby Gear, including
    • car seats (NOT expired!)
    • strollers
    • cribs (NOT drop side!) and other furniture
    • bouncers
    • baby carriers
    • swings
    • high chairs
    • toys, books and more
  • Kids & Teens Gear, including
    • coats
    • backpacks
    • costumes
    • sports equipment
    • dance gear
    • toys (WITH batteries, all pieces, accessories, etc.!)
    • outdoor toys (bikes, scooters, etc.)
    • furniture (assembled for display)
    • bedding
    • toys, books, games, DVDs/Blu-Ray movies and more
  • Missionary Gear, including
    • backpacks
    • books
    • manuals
    • ties
    • luggage
  • Homeschool supplies, especially curricula, manipulatives, etc.
  • Maternity and nursing clothes and other supplies including
    • breast pumps (sterilized)
    • parenting & parenting reference books
    • nursing bras and pillows
  • Any other baby, child, teen item not listed in the “cannot accept” list below.

 

KIDSmart cannot accept the following items:

  • Car seats that have been in a car accident (even a minor one) or have passed their expiration date
  • Recalled items including drop-side cribs
  • Items which do not meet the standard lead limits, phthalates standards and toy standards.
  • VHS tapes
  • Screen printed tees advertising local events or organizations (stores okay)
  • Items with stains, broken snaps or zippers, missing parts, etc.
  • Dirty baby or play equipment
  • Movies for adults
  • Shoes which are not like new
  • Opened puzzles in boxes
  • Undergarments which are not new (gently used nursing bras/teen bras are okay)
  • Handmade clothing or items mass produced for this or craft sales. If you are interested in selling a volume of handmade goods, please consider renting a booth! (Handmade clothes in general are okay.)
  • LDS temple garments (even maternity or nursing styles). We do not have the authority or ability to verify the sales are handled properly.
What does excellent condition mean? Gently used, or like new: no stains, tears or fading, no rust or cracks, no broken or missing pieces—basically, the condition you would want to buy the item in!
